Cosy apartment in heart of French Riviera. Secluded garden. 2-room (1 bedroom, 1 bed) apt in villa, ideal for couple or single female. Please read ALL of this description before contacting us.

We welcome guests from around the world and of all cultures, especially ecologically-minded folk.

Air conditioner. High-speed internet. Our apt & garden are strictly *non-smoking* and *non-vaping*. No pets. Ten mins walk to the sea & beaches. Also close by are supermarket, restaurants, banks, café, post office, fitness, hair salons, doctors, nurses, nature park. Free parking.

Our cosy apartment is in our villa, with its own garden and covered patio, where you can eat, relax and sunbathe. The apt is bright with sun in the morning and shade in the afternoon. You get a glimpse of the sea - and even the mountains from the corner of the garden. The apt is at ground level, and you step out from the apt onto a paved patio with a transparent roof (see the photos). The terrace has a table, chairs, deck chairs, etc.

The apartment has things like: high-speed WIFI, air conditioner (cooling & warming), TV, clothes washer, storage space, safety alarm, guides for local tourism, etc. The bathroom contains a recently-installed, walk-in, Italian shower, toilet, wash basin and heated towel rack.

The fully-fitted kitchen has an induction hob, fridge, toaster, coffee maker, cutlery, crockery, stainless steal pots, cutting board, etc. It has a microwave, but it does not have a classic oven. The kitchen is well suited to lighter cooking. Vacuum cleaner and other cleaning equipment are provided. The ceiling of the apt is just 2m high; no giraffes please :-)

Water and electricity are in addition to rental: we charge you at real cost, between 20 and 50 per month. We ask you for an advance on electricity, and reimburse you for any that has not been used.

Please respect our non-smoking and non-vaping wishes - both apt and garden. That way, we keep our place odour free for all guests. If you are a smoker or a vaper, it would be better for you to look for another place to stay.

If you wish to use our apt as a hotel and you are not interested in basic interaction with us, then best to book a hotel. If you are likely to abuse our hospitality and kindness, then best to stay elsewhere.

You have access to the patio and the garden in front of the apartment.

We prefer guests who are sure to take good care of the apt. We prefer guests who:
= state explicitly that they are *non-smoking*;
= who have received good evaluations by other AirBnB hosts;
= specify number of people - 1 or 2;
= environmentalist or ecological in their mindset and lifestyle;
= have included a description in their profile, so we can know who they are and what they do;
= have already received their virus vaccine.

We overlook the Cagnes horse race course, and on some nights they put on a sumptuous fireworks display. You are welcome to come up to our terrace to enjoy the show better.

We have apricot and plum trees and a grape vine. The apricot tree is just in front of the apt. When the trees are bearing fruit (see photos), you are welcome to pick them. In the summer the tree provides shade; in the winter it lets the sun through. You are also welcome to eat the grapes on the vine. No pesticides are used.

We also have a vegetable garden close to the terrace of the apt, and we ask you not to take any, although we may offer you some from time to time. If you wish to help doing the gardening, that would be marvellous - and then you can help yourself.

Please note that the apt can accommodate a maximum of two people. Please do not book for two people and then show up with three; if you do, we will have to refuse entry.

Pls feel free to write in French or English. We will reply in English, but the website should translate it into your language.

Again, we would like to make it clear that both our apt and garden are *non-smoking* and non-vaping. Also, no pets.

Sometimes a local cat may try to wander in; they are affectionate. However, pls do not let them into the apt; chase it out if it does go in. Some guests may be allergic to cats, so we avoid letting them into the apt.

Pls note that the apt is small and the ceiling low (about 2m). At certain times of the year, the French Riviera tends to have what appears to be a higher than normal number of mosquitoes. Anti-mosquito things are available in the flat, but please feel free to bring your own.

The apartment is for a maximum of two people, sleeping in the same double bed. No other guests are allowed. Sorry.
